Not your keys, not your coins. If you lose your keys, you lose your coins. It's a good idea to have a backup of your private key or seed phrase if your device with your wallet gets lost, stolen, damaged or locked. It is also good to have your family be able to access your wallet in case of an emergency.
We recommend creating 2 or 3 RIP cards and redistributing them to your family or friends plus keeping one card yourself. Store it safely in your home, in a safe, or with your other cards. Explain to your family or friends how to proceed to recover the secret.
Buy 2 or more RIP cards. Install the RIP card app on your phone. The mobile app will allow you to specify your secret private key or seed phrase. It will split the secret in a cryptographically secure way and save each part on one card. You will then scan all your RIP cards and verify that the original secret can be safely reconstructed.
The secret is split into x number of parts. If you get all the cards except one, you still have no information about the original secret and cannot guess it.
Your key is cryptographically split so you need all the parts to reconstruct the original secret. If just one of your cards is secure, your secret is safe.
A code is needed for each sale. If you want a share of the gain, spread your code and we will send you your share to your registered wallet.
Yes. It's open source so anyone can verify that the code is safe. It doesn't require any extra permissions that it doesn't use.
Yes, you can split the secret into x parts + password. All cards + password will be needed to recover the original secret. If you use a password, make sure to use a strong one.
